is an International Franchise Association
(IFA) Certified Franchise Executive, Speaker, and Social Media Enthusiast. Deb entered the franchise world first as an employee then as a franchisee in 1996. From 2004 – 2010, Deb was president of Computer Explorers technology education franchise. As a franchisor, she advised on digital media activities across the brand for internal communications, customer service, and marketing strategies building and expanding the digital footprint for the brand and franchisees.
After 16+ years as a franchise employee, franchisee and franchisor, Deb established Deb Evans Consulting to educate/train franchise industry leaders and small business owners to create and strengthen a culture and community through the use of social media and marketing.
Deb often serves as a panel member, and roundtable moderator and speaker at conferences and the annual IFA convention sharing her years of experience in franchise operations, recruitment, leadership, management and digital marketing. Deb coordinated FranCamp in 2011 which led to a follow-up in 2012 and IFA’s first Digital Technology and Marketing Conference in 2013. FranCamp renamed in 2014 as FranTech, continues yearly as a low-cost, one-day event fully loaded with a fast paced and aggressive agenda full of industry leaders providing hands-on sessions on building a community and becoming a trusted resource using current social technologies.
Deb’s passion working with businesses to direct growth by expanding reach via social media through good content, transparency, and engagement is clear through her enthusiasm on various social channels.
Deb started podcasting in May 2010 with the first episode of Social Geek Radio. Each week Deb and co-host Jack Monson interview leading social technology professionals and discuss trends on digital marketing and technology.
