How to Become a Social Marketing Geek In 2013

My love of all things social and the use of social technology marketing methods including the tactical use of LinkedIn,  Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other platforms inspired me to establish FranCamp and the weekly Blog Talk Radio show, Social Geek Radio.

My suggestions to help any small business or franchise owner to  improve your social and digital skills is easy.

Attend FranCamp

Planning will begin early January for the first FranCamp 2013. Some of our previous presenters were: Matt Haller (IFA), Todd Leiser (Valpak), Marianne Murphy (Floor Covering), Jack Monson (Engage121), BJ Emerson (Tasti D-lite), and Clarissa Bradstock (Any Lab Test Now) presenting on building digital communities, monitoring and leveraging social platforms, the power of connecting, what to do when social media goes wrong and how to use local marketing via social media.  All FranCamp recorded presentations can be found at this link: http://fransocialcamp.com/blog for viewing and download.

Who should attend? Anyone who works in franchising and small business and wants to integrate social technology: Leaders –  CEOs, COOs, VPs of Marketing and VPs of Franchise/Sales Development. Anyone who deals with sales and lead generation, anyone who handles consumer side marketing should attend. If you work in the marketing department of a franchise system, this is for you. If you own a franchise or small business and want to learn more about how you can boost your local marketing, then FranCamp is for you.

We will return to Atlanta GA Spring 2013. If you are a presenter or have a topic of interest, please contact me.

Shelley Roth says,  “Social media has completely shifted the sales and marketing landscape and how business gets done. Corporate environments often thrive on an intense “eat-what-you-kill” approach. —The inclusive community-driven nature of social media is sending traditional sales sharks, and their shark tanks, the way of the dinosaur.” Shelley published: Shedding Your Sales Shark – Lessons from a Recovering Sales Shark & How to Apply Them to Social Media Marketing and Life.
