Marketing Made a Little Easier

If you are anything like me, you hate cold calling! There are all sorts of tips and tricks for cold calling. In fact, Inc. magazine published a great article Tips and Sales Techniques for Cold CallingIt provides loads of advice on warming up cold calls, sample scripts, how to leave a message, and much more.

My love of technology encouraged me to search for tools allowing me to publish my message so that I can share via email and social channels. When I get the actual cold calling, I hope that the tools I share below will “warm” that call and make the task much easier.

Share Your Message With Audio

SlideShare is one of the world’s largest communities used to share power point presentations. Their site indicates, “with 60 million monthly visitors and 130 million pageviews, it is amongst the most visited 200 websites in the world. Besides presentations, SlideShare also supports documents, PDFs, videos and webinars.”

Did you know that SlideShare now supports videos and audios? At this time, a video can be inserted on any or all of the slides. I tested the audio feature and included one of our Social Geek Radio jingles that was produced for us by Skyler Fox.

When using SlideShare don’t forget to:
  • Share your presentations on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter …
  • Embed in your Blog or Website
  • Add a link to your email signature
  • Personalize the presentation and send to prospects

Share Your Message With A Video

The use of video for marketing is growing rapidly and marketers are trying to find new creative ways to use it in their marketing strategies. I am no exception! Recently, I came across a new platform called 9Slides. 9Slides is a cloud based presentation platform, which allows users to create interactive presentations, deliver it on modern devices like the iPad and measure its effectiveness.

I am extremely impressed with the capabilities and support I have received. In fact, CEO and Founder, Ruchit Garg has worked closely with me as I have beta tested some of the new features. Soon he will appear on Social Geek Radio to share why and how he developed 9Slides.

In a few simple steps a user can upload a power point presentation and video, synchronize the video with the slides , share privately or publicly, view analytics and embed into a Blog or Website.

View the 9Slides presentation below that Shelley Roth and I are using to introduce our new Digital Leadership Mastery program in Houston.

I see many uses for 9Slides: education, introducing a new member to the team, marketing a new product or service, and of course capturing your presentation.

What tools, trips and tricks do you use to make marketing easier?
